Top 6 Best Books to Read in Spring

Springtime is a wonderful time for growth, positivity and change. While flowers are beginning to bloom and the days grow warmer and longer we all begin to desire that sunshine greatly. Being outside has never felt as good as it does after the long winter months. I recommend these books to checkout this season, you will be fully immersed in natural beauty and be inspired to make great change yourself.

This book is beautiful and full of scientific and native knowledge. Kimmerer shows us in this collection of essays how other living creatures speak to us and teach us valuable lessons of life.

You feel totally immersed in this fast paced murder mystery/ coming of age story about a girl abandoned to the marshes off the coast of North Carolina. Nature surrounds us and shapes us and Owens allows the environment to come alive in this story of growth and survival.

This is a very unique story with a magic system revolving around weather and the seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn all have powers in this coming of age story. Adaptation and transition are huge themes in this book. Very well written for a debut.

This young adult romance can teach us so much, even as adults. The blending of cultures and willingness to sacrifice for loved ones is very well depicted in this book. I think there are many reasons to read it during springtime besides just its beautiful cover.

This climate fiction novel has a little bit of everything. It is a bit darker as past trauma plays out among the plot. But the main them is following Arctic Turns as they migrate to the South Pole. This is intimate and heartbreaking but breathtakingly beautiful.

Yerba Buena by Nina Lacour (Publish Date 5/31/2022)

This book was absolutely beautiful. Alternating points of view between Sarah and Emily we go on a journey of love, loss, trauma and unknown futures. Past decisions have consequences and begin to catch up with these two women as they move through their 20s. Their is wonderful LGBTQ representation in this book that is not the main point of this book but beautifully blended within this story.
